At first, we thought we had a good experience until Room Place sent us a wrong item. I went to the store to see where the problem was, Unfortunately the customer service has no knowledge or interest on how to talk to customers or I don't know what her problem was. She said she was doing me favors and asked me for more money so that I get the item that they displayed in their store. She is doing me favors for what? It's Room Place who made a mistake not us. It would be great if they were a little respectful of their customers as they might impact their business in a bad way. Very disappointed with my experience.
A great variety of merchandise to choose from, and a great place to work. Salespeople love to work with the customers, so be prepared to make a new friend!
The RoomPlace in rockford is very unprofessional. You don't stalk people the second they walk in the store and tear down other stores to try and get business. The SECOND we walked in the door I had a man ask for an id to do a credit check when we hadn't even said anything yet. He kept asking for id even after we said we were looking at things. We politely said we didn't want to do business after we were given the rundown of everything. My mom said to ME as we were walking out ALONE that we were going to go to Rent a Center (we have done business before and were more comfortable there) and had a woman basically insulting us as we walked out. She yelled across the room following us if we wanted to look at something and my mom said "no thank you" and she continued to follow us to the entrance. She said "oh, so you don't want to do business with an actual helpful, correct store?" and we didn't reply and kept walking. She then proceeded to harrass us, stating "we're cheaper than Rent a Center. I don't know why you wouldn't do business with us" and my mom said "no, but thanks" and continued to shout at us as we exited the building. Very, very unprofessional. You need to not harrass people who walk into your stores. You need to give people time and allow THEM to come to you. I will not be returning.
Love this store staff especially Kolbey at the Rockford store, she’s awesome. She has sold me my entire home furniture and look forward to purchasing more as I expand into a bigger home. Thanks guys!
