While they were all too helpful in my purchase, they don't tell you they are ripping you off. I bought an engagement ring and a wrap(the wedding band) for a total list price of about $4300. After 'sale' prices I got them for about $3300, roughly. the relationship has since ended and now they say I can't return them or even get some kind of buy back consideration. I can take advantage of the gold exchange program and maybe get $200 for them. In the meantime, I have been to other local jewelers for appraisal and possible price for sale, I have been told by all that with the size and weight of the gold and the diamonds, together they should have listed for less than half of what Kay asked for. Be careful of the price gouging people. Consider someone else if you can. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
Ann the manager will rip you off called gm on her
I took my ring there to have a new head put on, and.. then a white sapphire put in the center stone. When I got the ring back, the center stone looked like glass and the ring prongs were sharp and unfinished.. the underside was full of metal globs and looked a mess.. I then took the ring to a local jeweler and had them look at it (without telling them any background).. I found out that the center stone was a topaz valued at $15 and the work was unfinished and they even told me "who" did the work.. because they'd seen their work before... I returned the ring and began to complain and said it needed to be repaired and the stone was NOT a sapphire... they insisted that it was, and it wasn't until the 2nd time (of them working on it) that they tell me that they all look like this, but.. the ones that were shown to me in the case (when we first talked about working on my ring, didn't look anything like this crap.... the head of the ring should have been in a saddle type of a cradle.. instead it was just in a normal setting.. and, when I said I was NOT satisfied with the work.. they started to say THEY liked it... I said it's NOT YOUR RING, and it looks like crap!!!! I wanted the stone removed and they began telling me that there was a lot of labor involved so far.. and implied that I wouldn't be getting any money back and would probably OWE them money for this crap................ OMG, are you serious???? FOR WORK THAT LOOKS LIKE CRAP AND A FAKE STONE?????????? I will be calling their head store and complaining about their rude behavior and the crap that they sell.............DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE... EVER.....................
Update: They are not BBB accredited. Gee, I wonder why. At this point, the only way I would return to a Kay rip off store would be to watch it burn.
Terrible service!
