I have received medical care from Swedes for many years. Family doctor, specialists, surgery, out-patient, in-patient. I've received wonderful care and courtesy everywhere, and my outcomes are really good. Collaboration with the Mayo Clinic has also been smooth.
Bad experience ! I've been here multiple times, and each time they don't seem to get better. First the bed sheets were stained , as In fresh stains but INSISTED that they did clean the sheets and put "new" ones. Asked for a new sheet but was denied. Min after being in the room we had realized that the bed it self had dry blood and other stains ! Meaning they didn't disinfect the bed which they always should after EVERY patient. Sad case
I decided to give Swedish emergency department a try since my husband thinks so highly of them but I am so disappointed they do not take pregnant women having stomach pain and back lower pain serious or priority. They rather take people limping that just got there or people that appear to not even have an emergency that go out to smoke go drink coffee go order takeout or fast food and eat while they wait and are spending time on there phones laughing talking showing no signs of distress or real urgent need to be here. Most of these people could probably be encouraged cto go to there many urgent care centers but only it is advisable for pregnant women and children under 3 months to be seen at emergency rooms. They spend multiple times calling out the same name rather than moving in to the next absolutely discussed with how they prioritize urgency and there wait times are ridiculous.
The Emergency Room would get zero stars if I could rate it that. Their customer service is absolutely poor and the people behind the bullet resistant glass need some serious customer service training. They were treating everyone poorly. Possibly overworked and lacked basic human compassion. I would recommend not going there. The rest of the hospital I have been told is fantastic. It's too bad that their face has a black eye due to some of the unfriendly, non-compassionate people that work there.
Very disappointing experienced went there because my ankle was swollen it has been swollen for awhile and I felt strong enough do get through but my wife wanted me too go immediately so here's this doctor that was extremely racist and arrogant. This doctor was asking so what's the emergency? and I'm thinking are you for real? Then on top of that he disrespected my wife by calling her a sir and she's a transgender woman and she deserves respect. The funny part was when the doctor called security on my wife because my wife confronting the doctor and since the doctor doesn't know how to do his job correctly of course. The security didn't come so what does that tell ya? But this other man Mark he was super kool and awesome he didn't vote for Donald Trump Thank God but he gave my wife and I respect and he took my blood twice and had to find my vein which was a little bit difficult but I got through it. So after all of that signed the discharge papers and head out needless to say I'm never going back to this crappy hospital or Rockford this racist judgmental ,homophobic, racist crappy town.
