Some people dream about their wedding day, well I have dreamed about the day I could start looking for a home of my own and I’ve always known I would work with Julie Holen from Pioneer Real Estate. Although I wasn’t able to tour homes with Julie, as I was living in Dallas at the time, I knew I could trust her guidance and taste. Julie excels in communication and makes herself available via phone, text, email, and even video chat when needed. She absolutely cares about her clients and helping them find the right home. She was so incredibly easy to work with and I will definitely be working with her and the team at Pioneer Real Estate again in the future.
About two years ago we invited Ginger Sreenan to our home in Rockford to ask what she thought we needed to do before listing our home. She gave us a detailed list of minor issues and the names of contractors we might need along the way. We spent the next year following her instructions. Memorial Day weekend of 2016 we signed on with Pioneer and Ginger as our agent. She worked hard showing our home; three open houses and at least 5 private showings a week. At the end of July of '16 we accepted an offer within 2% of her market analysis. A condition of the sale was that we had to close in six weeks. No problem for Ginger! She helped us find a beautiful home in Lake Summerset and scheduled same day closings on both homes. If we ever need a realtor again, I would hope Ginger would represent us.
The house that I was looking forward to renting needed paint and new carpet in the family room after seeing the place right after the previous tenants, of several years, had moved out. They initially wanted me to put the utilities in my name before signing any contract. After they corrected the situation and was told that maintenance was scheduled to paint, I provided a deposit check. Before signing a contract though I wanted to see the place. The only paint was where they patched 2 holes and said that the carpet would not be replaced for a year. I asked the realtor to check again with the owner and call me in 2 days. When I called in 2 days for an update, they responded to me in saying, "since I walked out on the deal, they put the house back on the market" Now they won't return my deposit check.
